George Boyd Yellowlegs

$5,500 Including Shipping
This bird was carved by George Boyd (1873 – 1941).
This bird is one of six that were purchased from
Iver Johnson in Boston, Massachusetts, about 1912.
This bird is pictured in Jim Cullen’s book on George
Boyd, “George H. Boyd, Finely Carved and Nicely
Painted”. It is one of the group of 6 shorebirds on
page 22 (the one on the far right).
It is all original with some crazing on the paint. It
has an excellent dry patina. This is an outstanding
piece with excellent provenance
