Judge Malatrope Kovenhoven enjoyed making

hunting decoys for his own pleasure.  He was

from the Raritan Bay area in New Jersey.

Three of his decoys including a yellowlegs can

be found in the “Shorebirds” by Levison and

Headly, figures 6.1 to 6.3.

This is a very rare shorebird from the Raritan

Bay area.  Very few have been located.
