Melvin Hall Black Duck

$950 plus Shipping
This is great piece of folk art by Melvin Hall from
Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Circa 1960.
See page 62 of “Ontario Decoys” by Bernie Gates.
Melvin Hall used a rig of black ducks carved by
George Weir for hunting. As he lost a decoy, he would
replace the lost one with a decoy of his own.
This was done with a rasp finish. It is very unusual in form
and a great black duck.
